Haunted? Or No Luck At All?
Are we haunted? Maybe, or maybe it is that we have no luck whatsoever! Let me fill you in on a little background. My husband and I moved in to our new home last year about this time. We had hurdles let me tell you! Skunks had nested under the house...you can imagine how much fun that is. Just close you nose first. We have had floods, plumbing issues galore, carpet installation delays (we lived with concrete floors in the family room for months), no oven for 6 months and our latest battle, our store across the street was robbed!
You may think that small town life is a piece of chocolate cake with a side of ice cold milk, sitting on the front porch, watching the grass grow, but not if you live in this house!
Our latest and greatest house event was the laundry room flood of April 09, which was proceded by the bathroom flood of March 09. Luckily, nothing was badly damaged in either event, except my husband's back as he is the lucky one who get to crawl under the house to fix the plumbing and up into the attic to install new wiring.
At least we finally got the house painted, and we didn't have to do a thing except pay the guy!
Now we need let's see....shutters, a bigger nicer walkway, flowers in the beds, more trees...oh, remodeling is SO FUN!

New LO Details!
Hi! Just wanted to share this new lo with some details!
I used a Bazzill Basics paper flower along with the Making Memories Blossoms and Buttons box with Kaisercraft rhinestomes to make the flower and Paper Studio chipboard hearts with a little acrylic paint and Glossy Accents.
I also used the Glossy Accents to hightlight this American Crafts rubon on the heart. I looped the ribbon in a curl and stuck the bottom side to the paper with Glue Dots.

So I just finished this lo. I think it turned out pretty cute! I used the Basic Grey Sugared collection and Bazzill cardstock. I also used a Making Memories scallop circle. This is Kassy, goofy as always!

Update!
Hi everyone! I finally updated my header. Yay!
I am trying out for a Design Team, and I may try out for more and also try to get published in earnest, so I thought a cool, scrappy-style one that fits my personality would work the best!
I used a couple of rub-ons (Creative Imaginations and American Crafts), a feather, a couple butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch, Glitz Design paper and Making Memories felt and paper flowers as well as the tiny alphas and some Thickers.....of course! :D
The title for my blog may seem strange, but it is a line from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, one of my favortie movies (SURPRISE, right?). I love the irony of Willy Wonka telling Veruca's dad.."You're really weird." LOL, gets me every time!
Thanks for dropping by!

A Watch by any Other Name

I did this lo for the For Scap's Sake Critique Group. It is a watch that I got when I was a kid. OH how I wanted this watch. I was obssessed. I remember going to Dillard's to visit it in the case! It no longer works right and it is tarnished and cracked, but it is still a cool watch!
I have never scrapped an item before. This was a very fun lo to do!
