Haunted? Or No Luck At All?

Are we haunted? Maybe, or maybe it is that we have no luck whatsoever! Let me fill you in on a little background. My husband and I moved in to our new home last year about this time. We had hurdles let me tell you! Skunks had nested under the house...you can imagine how much fun that is. Just close you nose first. We have had floods, plumbing issues galore, carpet installation delays (we lived with concrete floors in the family room for months), no oven for 6 months and our latest battle, our store across the street was robbed!

You may think that small town life is a piece of chocolate cake with a side of ice cold milk, sitting on the front porch, watching the grass grow, but not if you live in this house!

Our latest and greatest house event was the laundry room flood of April 09, which was proceded by the bathroom flood of March 09. Luckily, nothing was badly damaged in either event, except my husband's back as he is the lucky one who get to crawl under the house to fix the plumbing and up into the attic to install new wiring.

At least we finally got the house painted, and we didn't have to do a thing except pay the guy!

Now we need let's see....shutters, a bigger nicer walkway, flowers in the beds, more trees...oh, remodeling is SO FUN!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Your house is most definitely haunted! Check the history on it - maybe someone who once lived there years ago doesn't want you changing anything! Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo.

ROFL....Julie....you crack me up!!
We lived in as older house and it was in a constant state of repair the entire 15 years we lived there! Just as soon as we'd get something remodeled or repaired, something else would bust! Oh the joys...but it's Home!!

I actually love old wood frame houses. I'll have to dig up a pic. of the one we used to live in. It was made in the 1920's. Although you have to work out the never ending kinks, it was one of our favorite houses. Keep going...it will be a gem when you are finished. As for the ghosts...hopefully one day ya'll will be able to co-exist. LOL!!!!
